Anything You Can Do, I Can Do Bigger

The Hollywood Summer Movie season is beginning to resemble the Las Vegas Strip. For every large scale casino and hotel built, another is none too far behind, anxious to outperform, outsell, and outdo its predecessor. Hollywood studios are following suit as recent trailers for G.I. Joe, Transformers, Terminator, and Star Trek, seem to suggest. And like Las Vegas casinos, audiences may feel robbed of their money once these films hit multiplexes as the finished cut very rarely matches the buildup.
