Shit on Their Hands

Most see the current conflict in Georgia as Russia's attempt to legitimize a domestic dominance over the war-scourged region of Caucasus. With the days of Red Menace all but memory, Russia must improve it's weakened impact among G8 nations. Controlling a prime oil pipeline does just that.

Where oil flows, so goes 21st century man.

The US and its allies have been heedful in condemning Russia. Calls for peace appear more market tactic than good will. As is the case with China. Our censure of an aggressive power is done with wink and crossed fingers. While support for penurious countries remains mute.
