Eject

After years of fast-forwarding and re-winding, the venerable VHS format has finally stopped. I had no idea these were still around. Though during its hey-day, I had assembled quite a magnificent collection of recorded 80s action and teen comedies that somehow look less as I remembered them when viewing them on DVD. At least the filmmakers of Iron Eagle have remainded true to the period by demanding that their film stay in the VHS preferred format of pan-and-scan. I suppose to preserve the intmacy of what happens when a 16-year old fighter pilot prodigy steals an F-16 from the US military in order to rescue his father from the evil grip of terrorists. As they say, they just don't make them like they used to.
