Citizen Gino

The person responsible for copywriting the plot summaries of late 80s to early 90s Warner Bros. action films onto the backs of DVD boxes is nothing short of a genius. Look no further than Out for Justice as proof. Here is a film that is so crazy, the only rational explanation for it is that the film's producers assembled a crew, locked them in a van, drove the van to some public school in Brooklyn, gave the keys to a group of 14 year-old Italian-American boys with cigarettes dangling from their prepubescent mouths, and said, "Go make a movie." The story of which goes something like this:

Out for action? You found it! Steven Seagal, star of more than 10 top action films of the past decade, hits like nobody else in the urban thriller Out for Justice, directed by John Flynn (Lock Up, Best Seller). Brooklyn-born and -raised cop Gino Felino (Seagal) has seen many changes in "the neighborhood." One sad one is that boyhood adversary and criminal scum Richie (William Forsythe) has turned the local streets into war zones. He's a mad dog unleashed, whom Gino's more than willing to send to an eternal obedience school. But he and his world-weary partner (Jerry Orbach of TV's Law and Order) must catch Ritchie first. With Seagal's remarkable Aikido skills commanding center stage, Out for Justice is outasight!
