Bling Sing



Island Def Jam will package the new Mariah Carey album with something called a mini-magazine, a first-of-its-kind concept intended to generate sales for the down-on-its-luck music industry. The insert, a 34-page replica issue of Elle Magazine, only about Mariah Carey, contains brand ads for things Mariah Carey likes or has including luxury apparel, beauty products, champagne and trips to the Bahamas - all products completely accessible to her core fan demographic of women, ages 12-14.
