Fitted for a King

Fitted Hawaii celebrates 50 years of uneasy aloha with Kamehameha and Kalākaua dynasty apparel. Pick one up here. Elsewhere, author and resident Paul Theroux pens a loving editorial to the islands he "wouldn't mind dying on." Having spent a good deal of my childhood eating rice cakes from the back of ice cream trucks in Pearl City, discovering, then rediscovering the secret coordinates to the location of Cobra Command (incidentally a fortress hidden in Kalihi Valley), and avoiding the furor of the Sisters at St. Elizabeth's in Aiea, I completely agree.
