Last week, U.S. House of Representative Joe Wilson shouted "You lie!" at President Barack Obama during the president's health care address to Congress. Fallout proved mild however when compared to the contempt meeting Kanye West this morning following his impromptu 'hijacking' of the MTV Video Music Awards ceremony Sunday night. As spontaneous as his editorial seemed, credit Kanye for having the good sense to place not a finger on Taylor Swift. Had he, conservative outrage*, particularly from the country music community, might have invoked greater hostility than when these people debate health care.
