The Defarted



We continue our list of the ten best films of the decade with The Departed, a weirdo thrashing mainstream gangster thriller crammed with bullets exiting through heads like a wet, blood drenched gaseous bowel movement, that somehow grossed north of $100 million in box office and earned Martin Scorsese a long overdue Oscar for Best Picture and Director.

Kill Bill



Why now? I'll tell you why now. Because some atrocities are unforgivable, that's why now. I'm speaking, of course, about Roman Polanski and his now infamous crime of passion.

As statistics will prove, the most damaging kind of transgressions are those fueled by blinding personal desires. Stuff like having sex with minors or casting Adrien Brody in movies are common offenses, both of which have ultimately derailed Mr. Polanski's brilliant career, at least in America.

Fly Me to the Movies



Martin Scoresese's run of grand scale filmmaking looks to continue as the iconic director will next helm the long in development, tightly guarded, Frank Sinatra biopic. Scorsese has been given unprecedented access to Sinatra's entire song catalogue and life story. More than likely, Leonardo DiCaprio will lead, though some wonder if the actor can match Sinatra's baritone heavy cadence, given DiCaprio's preferred style of high wire shrilling normally seen in his characters.
