JJ Abrams' Star Trek re-boot looks like a complete non sequitur. This installment seems heavy in entertainment, light on mechanics, and fully embracing of its young adult beginnings. Uh-oh! That didn't work so well for Darth Vader. Fortunately, Abrams has proven adept to how human emotions actually work. Unlike the contrived superficiality George Lucas put together in the Star Wars pee-quels. Man, those movies really suck.
