F**k the Bullsh*t, It's Time to Slow Down
I am a sucker for this 311 song. Following the band's Grassroots album, their music has favored lazy melodies over propulsive riffs. Though "Amber", from the 2001 effort From Chaos, represents latter 311, and features some of the most insipid lyrics lead singer Nick Hexum has ever written, the song somehow manages to melt my stoney little heart.

Late Stripe
The White Stripes will rock the final episode of Late Night with Conan O'Brien on February 20. Followers of Jack and Meg White will remember their week long stint on O'Brien's talk show in 2003 which culminated in this rousing performance of "Let's Build a Home". Conan takes over the Tonight Show from the white hair Jay Leno on June 1.
