My buddy Lance was one of the tens of thousands in attendance at Coachella over the weekend. I've yet to hear from him meaning he's either dead, still recovering, or on the lam; a bound and gagged Karen O in his trunk. And she likes it. Stereogum and the New York Times, however, did make it home safely and have filed reports here, here, and here.

Energeezy

"Double Panes" is a clever re-imagining of M.I.A.'s ubiquitous crime anthem, "Paper Planes". The remix, directed by environmental student filmmaker Matt Harnack, as part of his Grass Fed Films collective, hustles the environmental bling-bling of weatherization. Contrary to the core concept of the song, windows rarely contribute any significant energy savings to homeowners. Insulation and air sealing are the best remedies, though both would make for sucky song titles.
